Cyberpunk 2077 romances: Everyone you can pursue in Night City

Cyberpunk 2077 has many romance options to pursue throughout the neon-drenched clubs of Night City. Even though your main options are fairly limited: Judy, Kerry, Panam, and River, there are plenty more fish in the sea as you delve further. If you’re on the hunt for some downtime after a high-stakes story mission, or just looking for a breakaway, finding your perfect match to shack up with may be your next endeavor.

If you don’t want something long-lasting, Night City has you covered all the same. Between quick hook-ups and more meaningful relationships, there are many options available to you. Cyberpunk 2077 does have a Mature rating for a reason and while some of thesex scenes are kind of bad and awkward, the first-person viewpoint isn’t doing encounters any favors (no pun intended).

While theCyberpunk 2.0 updateand Phantom Liberty don’t add specific romance options—no hooking up with Idris Elba, I’m afraid—they do add a bit more dialogue to pre-existing romances, as you talk to your love interest about everything that’s gone down in Dogtown, and why you dropped off the map for a few days. All that said, let’s jump in and find out all the details on the Cyberpunk 2077 romance options.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Judy Alvarez

Interested in:V with female voice and body type (unless you havethis mod)Where:During the main story, as part of The Heist main story mission (Act 1)

Judy Alvarez is the Braindance technician that you meet during The Heist main story quest. You are introduced by Evelyn and Judy helps walk you through your first Braindance experience. You won’t encounter Judy again until Act 2 during the Automatic Love main story mission. She’ll be around for a few more of the story quests, but once you’ve completed Double Life, look out for Judy’s call which should come sometime later and will put you on the first of her own chain of quests, starting with Both Sides, Now.

If you’re hoping to start a relationship with Judy, you’ll need to make sure you respond to and complete each of her side quests. Some time will need to pass between each one, so don’t worry if you complete one but don’t hear from Judy again for a few hours. Once you reach the Talkin' ‘Bout A Revolution quest, make sure youagree to help Judy.

The next quest, Pisces, also has some important choices, so you’ll need to make sure yourefuse to go along with Maiko’s plananddon’t accept the payment from Maiko. Once that’s done, wait for the final quest, Pyramid Song to finally get together with Judy. You’ll then be offered the choice to enter into a relationship or leave it as a one-off encounter.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Panam Palmer

Interested in:V with a male body typeWhere:During the Ghost Town main story quest (Act 2)

After you’ve finished the main story quest, Ghost Town, the nomad Panam will appear in several more main story quests. Once she’s played her part in those missions and you’ve completed Life During Wartime, you should receive a call from Panam which will start you on her own questline. Like Judy, Panam will also wait a while between quests so just keep an eye for calls while you wait.

Panam’s quests start with Riders on The Storm and it should be noted that it’s very possible to fail the romance here, so you’ll need tomake sure you meet up with her in plenty of time. Pick dialogue options that show your interest and generally make sure yousupport her in everything you do. Follow this example with the follow-up quest, With a Little Help From My Friends and you should be fine.

If successful, you’ll be rewarded with Panam’s final mission, Queen of the Highway. After a bit of cosy time, you’ll have the option to move into a relationship with Panam.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: River Ward

Interested in:V with a female body typeWhere:During side job, I Fought The Law

River Ward is the first of the main romance options you won’t meet automatically through the main story. He only appears during the side quest, I Fought the Law and that can only be obtained once you’ve unlocked Street Cred tier 2 and completed the Life During Wartime main story mission.

Like the previous two, River has his own quest chain—albeit a very short one—starting with The Hunt which is started when you receive a call from him after completing the initial side quest. It’s possible to fail the romance requirements during The Hunt so you should make sure yougo to the correct farmanddon’t leave the farm area until you’ve helped him. You’ll also need to be supportive of him and not make him feel like he has to handle things on his own. If all these requirements are met, you’ll receive River’s final quest, Following the River sometime after.

Again,make your interest in him crystal clearduring this last quest and after some time alone together, you’ll get the option to enter into a relationship with him.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Kerry Eurodyne

Interested in:V with a masculine voice and body typeWhere:During the Holdin’ On side job

Kerry Eurodyne is first encountered during one of Johnny Silverhand’s side quests so if you’re wondering how to gain access to this particular romance character, keep working through those until you reach the Holdin' On mission.

As with other romanceable characters, Kerry has his own quest chain, but you’ll need to work through the other quests he appears in first. Once you’re done with Second Conflict and A Like Supreme, wait a while and you’ll eventually receive a call from Kerry which puts you on the Rebel! Rebel! quest to start his arc.

There’s not really anything you can do to mess up a chance at romancing Kerry in the first couple of missions so work through those until you reach Off The Leash. During this quest, make sure you’reunderstanding and supportiveandkiss himwhen the option presents itself. Once done, wait to receive his final quest, Boat Drinks.

Make sure youaccept his offer to cruise around the bayandkiss himagain when you get the chance on the yacht. Once you’ve had an intimate encounter with Kerry, you’ll have the option to start a relationship with him once you’re back on the beach.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Meredith Stout

Interested in:Any VWhere:During The Pickup main story quest

Meredith Stout isn’t a main romance option like the previous four and she only offers a brief fling, providing you make the right choices during your time with her.

First off, make sure you actually meet up with her before heading to the All Foods warehouse during The Pickup quest. It’s possible to miss her entirely if you don’t do this step. So, if you fancy some alone time with Ms Stout, make sure to make contact before proceeding with the main mission.

You’ll need to make some important choices during the rest of this quest if you don’t want to mess things up with Meredith, so make sure youshoot Royce if you refused her infected credchiporbuy the Flathead with the infected credchip or shoot Royceif you did.

This will lead to a meet-up with Meredith later on. She’ll call you and invite you to a motel, but she makes it quite clear that she got what she was after when the deed is done.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Rogue Amendiares

Interested in:Any VWhere:The side job Blistering Love (if you became friends with Johnny at the end ofCyberpunk 2077 Chippin' In quest)

You’ll first meet Rogue during the main story quest, Ghost Town. She’s an old flame of Johnny Silverhand and you can miss out on a very brief intimate scene with her if you don’t complete the requirements. Rogue won’t enter into a long-term relationship.

During the first of Rogue’s side quests, Chippin' In, make sure youbecome friends with Johnnywhen you’re at his grave at the end of the mission. You’ll then need to call Rogue when given the opportunity which will start the Blistering Love quest.

You’ll go on a date with Rogue (Johnny has taken over you body at this point) and pick the dialogue options that will lead to a very short intimate scene with her. This never develops fully, however, and Rogue will change her mind before things get too heavy.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Alt Cunningham

Interested in:Any VWhere:During the Never Fade Away main quest

This is another encounter that takes place with Johnny. There areno special requirementsfor this to happen, as it’sautomatically shownduring a flashback of Johnny’s memories during the Never Fade Away main story mission. Because of this, your relationship with Alt Cunningham doesn’t develop any further.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Ruby

Interested in:Any VWhere:During the Chippin' In side job

Johnny can meet up with Rubywhile using V’s bodyduring the Chippin' In side mission. This won’t develop into anything serious and just serves asa quick flingfor the old rocker.

Cyberpunk 2077 romance: Joytoys

Interested in:Any VWhere:Westbrook. Two are available from the start of the game, the other two are unlocked during the Off The Leash side job.

As the name might suggest, Joytoys are Night City’s sex workers. If you’re after a quick hook-up without any of the hassle or decision-making required for one of the other romance options, one of these might be the answer. Of course, you’ll need to pay them—their services don’t come free—but if you’re prepared to part with your eddies, you’ll be rewarded with a brief sex scene.

Two of the Joytoys, one male and one female, are available from the start of the game. You can find them on Jig-Jig Street in Westbrook and they’ll set you back $100 eddies for their undivided attention.

If you’re prepared to pay more for your pleasure, there are two other Joytoys that are unlocked during the Off The Leash side mission. They’re found in the Dark Matter club but you’ll need to pay them $3000 eddies if you want some quiet time with one of them.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance: Frequently Asked Questions

Can you romance multiple people ?

If monogamy isn’t your style, you can romance multiple partners in Cyberpunk 2077. But you will have to make a decision eventually. You’re free to share romantic encounters with multiple partners, or dating someone while you’re still making the most of JoyToy services, but when it comes to picking your partner you are locked in. Once you’ve made your ‘final phone call’ toward the end of the game, this will be marked as V’s relationship, so choose wisely.

Are there Phantom Liberty romances?

Sadly, the answer to this is no. If you were expecting to romance either Songbird or Solomon Reed, there are no opportunities during the DLC questline. The closest you’ll get is having a little drink and a dance with Alex at her bar if you choose to. That said, Phantom Liberty does add extra dialogue to your pre-existing romances. While in Dogtown, you can call up your chosen significant other and have a little chat about the fact you might be away for a few days saving the president, plus reflect on your time in the perilous district.
